Hopkinsville regional campus to host a three-part lecture series on soft skills featuring guest speaker Dr. Ana Maria Lara Palma

MURRAY, Ky. 鈥 The Murray State University Hopkinsville Regional Campus is partnering with the Christian County Chamber of Commerce to host a three-part lecture series on July 29, Aug. 5 and Aug. 12 with guest speaker Dr. Ana Maria Lara Palma, a professor from the University of Burgos in Spain.

The Tuesday, July 29 lecture is titled 鈥淓xploring Core Soft Skills: Foundations for Human Well-being in Education and the Workplace.鈥

The Tuesday, Aug. 5 lecture is titled 鈥淏uilding Success Through Soft Skills: Emphasizing Attitude and Character in Learning and Work Environment.鈥

The Tuesday, Aug. 12 lecture is titled 鈥淓levate Your Soft Skills: Making Them Work for You!鈥

Each session will be held from 10-11:30 a.m. at the Murray State University Hopkinsville Regional Campus, 5305 Fort Campbell Blvd. 

Cost is $75 for all three sessions or $35 per individual session. Attendees who participate in all three sessions will receive a professional development certificate.

Palma鈥檚 professional career combines academic, research and management experience. For more than 24 years, she has taught engineering students in a wide range of subjects related to business organization, human resources (HR) and management.

Teamwork and research sharing have been at the heart of Palma鈥檚 research journey, complemented by her current position as the director of the Airline Transport Pilot Degree, a role that has allowed her to work in multicultural, dynamic environments and face high-impact technological challenges. Managing economic, administrative, HR, commercial and academic aspects has broadened her perspective and reinforced her belief in the importance of personal skills and values as the foundation of success.
